Räbusti (jootepasta) valiku esmaseks kriteeriumiks on joodise töötemperatuur ning sekundaarseks kriteeriumiks joodetavad materjalid. Joodise töötemperatuur peab olema räbusti töötemperatuuri vahemikus. Tavaliselt tarnitakse räbustit pasta kujul, kuid erijuhtudel ka pulbrina.
Jootepasta Brazetec H ja Special h ning Alubraze F30/70 räbusti jäägid on korrodeerivad ning tuleb eemaldada.
Jootepasta Brazetec S ja RS räbusti jäägid ei ole korrodeerivad ning nende eemaldamine pole vajalik.

Flux (Soldering Paste) Selection
The primary criterion for flux (soldering paste) selection is the working temperature of the solder, and the secondary criterion is the materials being soldered. The solder working temperature must be within the flux working temperature range. Flux is usually supplied as a paste, but in special cases also as a powder.
Soldering paste Brazetec H, Special H, and Alubraze F30/70 flux residues are corrosive and must be removed.
Soldering paste Brazetec S and RS flux residues are not corrosive and do not need to be removed.
